Concept

“Piscator” is a social service which brings together students in Venice who are living, or have lived, the Erasmus experience.

This interactive service, accessed by mobile phone, helps people - who have at least one language in common - to meet and create new relationships.

SERVICE INTRODUCTION

An email from the Erasmus office, with the approved learning agreement, contains the password and user name of the student.

The email also contains a link to download the application. Having installed it on the phone, once in Venice the user can start to use it.

Interactions and prototype

The system scans the proximity of users while they are walking around the city. If another Erasmus or ex-Erasmus student is passing by, the system notifies it to the user with a single vibration.

Current Erasmus students are shown in the sea-view as yellow fishes; ex-Erasmus students are shown as red fishes.
