Marco Righetto (b. 1985) gained his undergraduate degree cum laude in Media and Communication at Padua University, and published his preithesis essay (with Nicola Negrin and Francesco Rossetto)  on the Lombardy Institute of Journalists.

An enthusiastic video-maker, he has attended workshops with Mike Mills and PES,
and shot a mini-documentary shown at the 11th Venice Biennale of Architecture 2008, for CheckIn Architecture.

In 2009 he spent six months as an Erasmus student at EINA, Barcelona’s art and design school, and was a semifinalist of the Adobe Design Achievement Award in the mobile design category with the project Piscator (with Alessandro Filippi and Aurora Biancardi). He is now in the last year of the Masters programme in Visual and Multimedia Design, Faculty of Design and Arts, Iuav University of Venice, specialising in Interaction Design.

 

Education

Classical studies High School, Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza).
Undergraduate degree in Media and Communication (Mass Media Communication
and Sociology) at  University of Padova, cum laude.
Exchange program at Eina University of Barcelona (Feb - Jul 2009).
Currently: IUAV’s graduate degree in Visual and Multimedia Design,
specialising in Interaction Design.

I will be avalable for full time internships from April 2010, estimated graduation April 2011.

Skills:
Proficient in Adobe CS3 Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign.
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro CS 3.

Basic Processing coding and Flash.

 

Awards:
Semifinalist in the mobile category of the Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2009, for Piscator project.
Prethesis essay published on the Lombardy Institute of Journalists and conference set on the topic of Anna Polikovskaja's assassination.
